Apple Watch buyers still aren’t buying it, but there is a bright spot in that.

That’s not surprising given that the last three years have seen a number of other manufacturers start making smaller, cheaper versions of the device, and that the US market for Apple Watches has actually grown a bit over the past year, with sales hitting $1.2 billion in August 2017.
The most significant factor driving sales is that Apple Watch users are still buying them, and it’s not just because Apple is releasing an updated version of the watch in the fall.
According to new data from comScore, Apple Watch purchases are still down in the United States by more than 50% from the same period last year.
While the iPhone sales were up in the month of September, the company is still struggling to generate any sales from its Watch app, which was launched in September 2017.

Apple Watch apps were the most popular category for iPhone users in September, with 3.9 million apps downloaded.
Apple’s app sales fell a mere 0.3% from September 2017 to 2018, and overall app downloads dropped by 2.2%.
But while it’s been a rough couple of years for Apple Watch, there is still some good news in the data.
comScore found that the number of Apple Watch apps on iOS devices has increased by more that 1 million in 2018, a sign that people are willing to give the watch a try.
Apple also added a third category of apps in September: health and fitness.
While that’s a far cry from the 3.5 million apps it added in 2017, it’s good news nonetheless.
“In September, users who downloaded an Apple Watch App saw a 9% increase in their activity level compared to September 2017,” the company said in a statement.
“In 2018, Apple’s App Store saw a 4.9% increase, while activity levels in Health and Fitness grew by 7.7% in 2018.”
It’s also worth noting that comScore said that users who use apps for other apps that are related to Apple Watch have seen an even greater increase in activity levels.
That means that Apple’s Watch app is getting more users doing things that are relevant to it, like playing music, taking photos, and streaming music, for example.
The next question is, how will the company adapt to this new environment?
One possibility is that the Watch app will eventually be replaced with more content, like news.
That could lead to a less cluttered app that people can browse and use.
And while the Watch is an interesting way to learn about Apple, it also shows that Apple is still willing to invest in content in the watch category.
It’s unlikely that Apple will ever completely abandon its wearable ecosystem, but it’s clear that it’s working hard to improve the experience.
